Southwest Florida Local Artist - Janie's Fun Stuff

Hello, my Name is Jane Cechman, my business is Janie’s Fun Stuff. I have lived in Ft Myers since 1977. I began painting furniture and anything wood in 1993 when my son was born. The first thing I painted was a small table and chairs for my son. Since then I have had my art in several shops in SW Florida and Key West.

I currently have pieces in an “Artisan Mall” called The Alley located in The Coconut Point Mall, Estero, Florida. I have dog beds made out of old dresser drawers and dog feeders made out of crates that are located at Island Paws on Sanibel Island, Florida. I have wooden paddles with fish painted on them and knobs to hang things from located at Whitney’s Bait Shop on Sanibel Island, Florida. I enjoy finding unique pieces if furniture that my be unloved and discarded and make it come to life again! My art is whimsical, bright, tropical and fun! Even one piece can brighten up any space!
