Vacation Guide to Southwest Florida

Florida Rep - Artstage Studio Theatre

Description

The Artstage Studio Theatre opened in 2009 with The Santaland Diaries, but due to physical limitations, was only able to produce small, one-person plays — often with obstructed view seating because of a structural column in the center of the room. The renovated venue features larger cast plays, a bigger stage, up to 120 seats, a new lighting system, and assigned seating! Made possible, in large part, through the generous donation of Florida Rep Board Member, Arthur “Art” Zupko, this second performance venue is the perfect complement to Florida Rep’s Historic Arcade Theatre.

Area Information

Fort Myers

Fort Myers, also known as the City of Palms, is the historical heart of Southwest Florida. Visitors to the Fort Myers area will enjoy family attractions, golf, boating, shopping and dining. Fort Myers is the home of the Thomas Edison and Henry Ford Winter Estates , built in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s; tours of these estates and gardens are a top attraction in Fort Myers. During March, visitors come to see the Boston Red Sox and the Minnesota Twins spring training. For more information, please see our Fort Myers Travel Guide.
